Ransom Rusk is one of the wealthiest men in Texas and is a member of the Task Force. He is in his late fifties. He forebears first arrives in Texas in the 1870s, coming from Pennsylvania. He owns three airplanes which he makes available for use by the Task Force. His early ancestor was Earnshaw Rusk, a Pennsylvania Quaker who became the United States Indian Agent a Camp Hope and eventually stayed at the former Fort Sam Gar5ner with Emma Larkin. His family established the town of Larkin. He divorces his wife, Fleurette, and after several years of bachelorhood, marries Maggie Morrison.
