Who is Prospero from Shakespeare: The Invention of the Human and what is their importance?

Prospero (The Tempest) is a sorcerer, likely modeled after Marlowe's, Doctor Faustus. Unlike Faustus, Prospero abandons sorcery and returns to his job as the Duke of Milan.
