Who is Popo from The Dog of the South and what is their importance?

Popo is Guy Dupree's errand boy. He is hired to bring supplies and drugs from town to the Dupree farm. When he is stopped during a delivery, he learns that Guy has left the property and wants him to keep all of the supplies for himself.
