Who is Paco from Perfect Chemistry and what is their importance?

Alex's best friend, Paco, lives with his father. His father is a heavy drinker, who often beats him. As a result, Paco is filled with anger and frustration. His membership in the Latino Bloods give him a way to vent his pent up anger, Alex knows that Paco is smarter than he lets on and doesn't need the Bloods. Paco is killed when he steps in and takes Alex's place in a drug deal..... a deal set up to kill Alex. Paco died in his place.
