Norma Breen is an investigator. She is hired by Barry Kahn to investigate Will Shepard's murder, in the hopes that she will learn something that will help free Maggie. Breen focuses on the Lake Club soon after discovering that Will would often go there after hours for private parties with a select group of members. When she later learns that Nathan Bailford is a member of this exclusive club, she sits on the information until after Maggie is found guilty. Maggie then goes to the judge and presents her findings, causing a mistrial that leads to a new trial and "not guilty" verdict.
