Mrs. Simmons, Shaun's divorced mother who is head of the household where Shaun and Jason live. She is surprised at the positive changes in "Shaun" as a result of Kiriel's possession of his body, but she attributes this to typical teenage behavior influenced by hormones and identity crises. Mrs. Simmons is portrayed as a rather clueless, anxiety-ridden suburban housewife. She is not a warm and fuzzy mother, but appears somewhat remote and detached. She cares about her children, but doesn't seem to have a real maternal instinct
