Mr. Spangler and Mr. Grogan work with Homer at the telegraph office. Spangler is the office manager, a kind and empathetic man, who is fearlessly compassionate. Grogan is much older and past retirement age. Sadly, he is an alcoholic who is unable and/or unwilling to give up his job because without it, he'd have nothing left.
