Molly is Anna's four-year-old daughter. She is a spirited and defiant child who is very much attached to her mother. Molly is fond of her father, but not as attached to him as she is to Anna because Brian is a lawyer and has worked long hours since the beginning. Molly begins going to day care full-time after her parents' divorce because Anna must work two part-time jobs to make ends meet.
