The Mojave Indian tribes inhabited the flood plain of the Colorado River. The hot, dry climate left them with little need for clothing. They used rude irrigation techniques to raise corn and squash and lived mainly on a diet consisting of vegetables and plants. Rabbit and fish were an occasional treat.
