Lia's father is a wealthy, powerful, and important man. He owns BioTech and is the one who made the decision to have Lia get the download procedure. Initially he insists that Lia try to reintegrate into society as quickly as possible, but at some point comes to the conclusion that downloading her into a new body was a mistake. He loves Lia and tries to do his best for her, but eventually comes to believe that he should have let her die.
