Who is Luigi from The Broker and what is their importance? The_Broker English & Literature Luigi | The Broker

Luigi is Backman's handler in Italy. He teaches Backman what it means to be Italian and insures that Backman remains alive and learns how to survive. We later learn that Luigi is also charges with keeping close tabs on Backman, making sure he doesn't escape or contact people from his previous life. Luigi, however, is completely unaware of the fact that Backman is being set up for murder until his location is already revealed to to multiple countries.
