Lilia was thrown out of her tribe and into exile in the wilderness. When she sees Memnoch in his human form, she offers herself to him. When Memnoch is taken by God's light, Lilia stays and watches. When Memnoch is cast back down from the heavens, she brings him to the tribe and is once again welcomed. Lilia becomes Memnoch's mate. She does, however, step aside so that he may lay with others and spread the seed of the angels.
