Katherine Mayfair is the eighth witch of the Mayfair family, although she does not have the power of her mother. She marries Darcy Monahan and loses several children. Although she and Darcy build the house at First Street in New Orleans, she does not live there after Darcy's death until the Riverbend plantation house is taken by the river. She gives birth to Mary Beth too long after Darcy's death, leaving the Talamasca to surmise that Julien, Katherine's brother, is probably Mary Beth's father.
