Julian Marquet is a ballet dancer and the son of the owner of the dance studio where Catherine goes to become a famous ballerina. Julian finds Catherine exotic and falls deeply in love with her. However, Catherine is not interested in Julian except for the advantages he might offer to her budding career. It is because of Julian that Catherine goes to New York and begins dancing with an up-and-coming dance group. When Catherine learns that Dr. Paul lied to her, she turns to Julian, marrying him to hurt Dr. Paul. The marriage is a difficult one.
