Jude is the leader of the mechs, and was one of the first human beings to receive the download procedure back when it was still in its experimental stages. Jude and several of the other mechs in the group received the procedure against their wills. Jude believes that mechs are superior to orgs in almost every way, and tells Lia that she is wasting her time trying to go back to her old life because the orgs don't want her there. Jude believes that the past is irrelevant and that until she is willing to let go of it, Lia will never realize her full potential.
