An operative of the CIA, he is an artist and self-proclaimed playboy. He is captured by the same organization that captures Mrs. Pollifax in the hope that he has information about the package she was to have retrieved. Farrell has a cyanide pill with him but it is taken from him before he can swallow it. It is Farrell who first figures out that they have been taken to Albania. He matter-of-factly tells Mrs. Pollifax that he cannot allow himself to be questioned upon his arrival and sets out to commit suicide by throwing himself off a cliff.
