John Sloan was a young Korean boy, who came from a good family. He was drawn into gang life in order to get protection in school. After committing a robbery, John found himself in the juvenile court system, where Judge Dorn dealt with him harshly. Dorn's harsh treatment, however, was directly responsible for the change in John's behavior. John was saved by the system, and he later attended community college.
