Johan Oosterveld is the man Sini and Annie are sent to live with. He builds a hiding place for the girls behind a closet in his home. Although the girls are only meant to be with Johan for a week or two...... their stay ends up lasting more than two years. When Johan has to go out of town for work, his wife sends the girls away because she is afraid they will be discovered. but end up staying there for more than two years. He immediately retrieves the girls and brings them home.
