Who is Jamila from Brothers and Keepers: A Memoir and what is their importance?

Robby meets John's daughter, Jamila, when she is no more than an infant. As years go by, she continues to visits him in prison every year. Jamila looks back on their visits as happy times, but she knows that he is not happy to be in prison.
