Ivy Bishop appears in the story, Sanatorium. She is the young, pretty English girl Ashenden meets after he is introduced to McLeod. Ivy has been in and out of sanatoriums for nearly 10 years, and she looks much younger than she actually is. When McLeod tells Ashenden that he believes Ivy and Templeton are involved in a relationship, Ashenden notices the way they look at each other and agrees with McLeod's observation. Although Ivy knows that Templeton won't live long, she agrees to marry him anyway. She also agree to return to the sanatorium after his death.
