Ham is the son of the local judge and Andrew's best friend. Ham is the only son in a family of five daughters, therefore he is very spoiled. For this reason, Ham is constantly planning mischief, dragging Andrew into it as well. Ham drags Andrew to the carnival where they meet Bennie. Later, Ham bets on Andrew in the free throw contest and convinces Andrew to ride Jalahar after Bennie, causing him to break his arm. However, in the end, Ham proves to be a good friend to Andrew.
