Grandma Ball is a kind, older woman, who has taught piano for many years. She is described as a kind, older woman, who is hard of hearing. Grandma understands that her daughter, Belle, consistently felt plain and less beautiful than her sister. She also realizes that it was Love and Amos' relationship that drove Belle away.
