Who is Eudoxus from Coming of Age in the Milky Way and what is their importance?

Eudoxus is considered one of the world's first astronomers. He attended Plato's Academy in 385 BC, and later went on to establish his own observatory on the Nile River. Eudoxus is credited with building one of the first models of the universe.
