Enrique Gomez, better known as Poncy, represents the victim in the story. He is a Cuban immigrant, who has lived in the United States for many years. From the start, we see Willard and Joe Lon treat him with disrespect..... harrassing, threatening, and abusing him endlessly. In the end, Poncy forgives Jon, noting that his behaviors are natural. In this, we see that Poncy is not only a victim, but a part of the problem as well.
