Elund is Hugh de Witton's first wife. Hugh falls is love with the Welsh beauty at first sight and immediately voices his desire to marry her. Unfortunately, Elund is not the most intelligent woman, and she tends to be quite boring, thus, Hugh's initial passion for his bride ebbs. Elund leaves her marriage because she isn't happy, shocking her husband, who believes that marriage is a lifetime bond. He is unaware of the Welsh laws of divorce, so her abandoment leaves him feeling dishonor. He mourns her loss.
