Elena Weaver is a twenty-years-old, and a student at St. Stephen's College. She is murdered early one morning after going out for a run. Elena was considered a bright, young woman, but her performance at St. Stephen's suffered because of her inability to adjust to college life, as well as her deafness (Elena was born deaf). She was, however, a passionate runner and member of Cambridge's Hare and Hounds running club.

Elena's father was absent for much of her life, something she resented, and something that led to her promiscuous behavior. Elena dated Victor Troughton, and later became pregnent with his child, in order to shock and humiliate her father. Elena Weaver is described as beautiful and alluring..... a tall young woman with sherry colored hair.
