Doctor Mossadegh is a liberal politician. He manages to temporarily seize power from Shah Pahlavi in 1951, and is given the the title of Prime Minister. As Prime Minister, Mossadegh nationalizes the country's oil, which angers Western oil interests and leads to his forcible removal from power. As a result, Shah Pahlavi resumes his monarchy.
