Dave Hollingsworth is Sidney's boyfriend and escort in the pageant. He is also the quarterback of the Quahogs football team. Katie refers to Dave as the "smootherover" because he is always trying to make everything right. Sidney ends up mad with Dave at the pageant because he chooses a blue tuxedo that clashes with her red dress. Dave also tells Seth that he can't go after Tommy after the pageant because they have to help the girls celebrate their wins.
