Cynthia Kavanagh is a fifty-something writer. Cynthia is well known for her books which feature her cat, Violet. Cynthia and Father Tim met in a previous novel in this series when Cynthia bought the small, yellow house next door to the rectory. Father Tim and Cynthia have now been married for almost two years. Cynthia is Father Tim's rock, the one person in town who looks out for Father Tim's health and sanity. Cynthia often schedules retreats for Father Tim, forcing him to take some time off and take care of himself.
