Who is Cyndi from Taft and what is their importance?

Cyndi is a waitress at Muddy's. She is described as an ill-tempered, hard-drinking woman, who regularly antagonizes John. John is, nonetheless, considering training her for management. He quickly changes his mind, however, when she begins coming to work drunk and starts dating Carl Taft, who is a known drug dealer.
