Who is Cleopatra from Shakespeare: The Invention of the Human and what is their importance?

Cleopatra is Shakespeare's perfect model for the seductive woman. She is the Queen of Egypt, and as such, she enjoys being in control. This need to rule is the reason for her suicide....... she'd rather be dead than captured and paraded through Rome.
