Who is Chris Faraday from Playing for the Ashes and what is their importance?

Chris Faraday is a young, single man, who rescues animals from research facilities. When he first sees Olivia Whitelaw on the streets waiting for a clients, he picks her up and takes her home with him.... just like a rescued animal. Chris stands by Olivia and assists her in breaking her addiction to drugs. He then enlists her help in his crusade against animal testing. After the couple has been together for several years, Olivia is diagnosed with ALS. Chris then becomes her sole caretaker.
