The Chemehuevas were a part of the Shoshonian Indian Nation. They inhabited the area north of the Mojave and Yuma tribes in the mountains of the Rio Virgen. Their winter homes were built of bough, and they spent their summers in big booth like structures of willows and poles. They were one of the most advanced Indian tribes.
