Cassio appears in Shakespeare's, Othello. Cassio assists Othello in his courtship of Desdemona, after which, Othello promotes Cassio to the position of lieutenant. Iago, jealous of Cassio's promotion, convinces Othello that Cassio and Desdemona are lovers.... which leads to the couple's deaths.
