Captain-General Miguel Bautista is the governanor of the Spanish colony. He is described as a narcissistic, sadistic man, who loves nothing more than an audience and the chance to perform. Bautista demands the admiration of his personnel, enjoys demeaning his men.... the more shocking and condescending he can be..... the more aroused he becomes by the power he holds over others.
