Brother Coratelli was Eddie's Latin teacher. Coratelli is described as old and rather smelly, a trait that earns him the nickname "Sort-a-Smelli." When Coaratelli tries to justify the study of Latin to his class, Eddie makes an inappropriate comment that places him on Brother Coratelli's "black list." Afterward, Eddie does everything he can to simply blend in with the others during class, as he doesn't wish to draw attention to himself. Unfortunately, he flunks most tof his tests and fails, something that results in ten weeks of summer school.
