Big Joe Mackey is Joe Lon's father. He is described as nearly deaf and is semi-retired. Big Joe left his liquor store to his son, and now raises fighting dogs..... dogs he abuses until they are violent and fierce. Mackey's tendencies toward abuse are well documented and were the reason for his wife's suicide.
