Beth Wright, in Presumption of Guilt, is a 24 year old journalist finishing up on her college degree. She suspects that Bill Brandon is up to no good at a local children's home in St. Clair, Florida. As the protagonist of the story, she places herself in danger as she begins to uncover all of the criminal activity going on in the children's home.
