Bernice is Cleopatra's sister, and she is quick to claim the throne when her father is forced out of Egypt. Cleopatra believes Bernice is responsible for the death of their older sister, an event that insured Bernic of complete control. Bernice and her followers are later overthrown when her father returns to Egypt with an army. She is immediately taken prisoner and publicly executed.
