Who is Beppe, Giorgio from War in Val D'Orcia, 1943-1944 and what is their importance?

Beppe led the partisan faction that hid in the Val d'Orcia woods. While the groups actual membership varied, Beppe remained with them throughout, and provided them with an effective liaison between the Partisans and the Marchesa.

Giorgio was a young Italian partisan, who took refuge with the Marchesa and later died fighting in June of 1944.
