Bellerophon is a hero mentioned in Greek mythology. Proetus the king in Tiryns hates Bellerphon because his wife, Anteia, fell in love with him. Bellerophon is a symbol of the divided soul afflicted with Eros, a soul that feels both pleasure (as with Anteia) and hatred (as with Proetus) at the same time.
