Who is Beatrice from Tales from Shakespeare and what is their importance?

Beatrice appears in the tale "Much Ado About Nothing". She is known for her quick wit and love of sparring intellectually with others, especially Benedick. Through trickery, Beatrice is made to fall in love with Benedick and he with her, and even at the end of the tale when they discover they've been tricked, they remain in love with one another.
