Armand is a friend to both Lestat and David. He leads the group of vampires living near Notre Dame beneath its graveyard. Once a member, Lestat broke the beliefs of Armand's group by walking into the halls of Notre Dame and returning unharmed. Armand keeps track of Lestat and lives vicariously through him.
