Greek philosopher, Aristotle, was a student of Plato. He argued for the existence of real substances and final ends in nature. In Locke's essay, we see that he disagrees with the majority of Aristotle's doctrines. He does, however, agree that Aristotle was one of the greatest men who ever lived.
