Antonia Hamilton is Cosmo Hamilton's daughter. She comes to live with Penelope after her father's unexpected death. Cosmo Hamilton was the love of Olivia Keeling's life, but she lbecause her high-profile life in London was more important. When Cosmo dies, Antonia has nowhere to go, thus, she ends up living with Penelope.

Antonia and Penelope develop a close relationship, as do Antonia and Danus. Because Danus reminds Penelope of her first love, she comes to resent the bond between the two, but at the same time, she wishes for her happiness. Penelope and Antonia maintain their close relationship for the rest of Penelope's life.
