Alan Forman, Christy Crimmins' husband, was a probate attorney and bank trust officer. After more than a dozen years marriage, the couple decided to vacation in a log cabin in Kingston, Ontario. While there, Alan was badly injured in a ferry accident, during which he suffered severe brain injuries.
