Who is Akin from Lilith's Brood and what is their importance?

Akin is Lilith Iyapo's construct child. These children are very different than Human children because they have the capability of remembering everything from birth, and also possess adult type intelligence from birth. The story is seen from Akin's point of view from the beginning.
