He was a proponent of social Darwinism and believed in racial supremacy, especially the supremacy of the German people. After taking power, Hitler quickly formed the Hitler Youth..... intent upon preparing a new generation of soldiers and leaders who had never known anything but his rule.

Over the course of his story, Alfons describes the way in which he became devoted to Hitler. He also highlights meeting his hero for the first time.
