Abu l'Hasan was the Sultan of Morocco. He attempted to expand his rule to the city of Tunis but never takes complete control. Ibn Battuta finds him in Tunis, where he meets with him and expresses his loyalty to the Sultan. Soon afterward, Abu l'Hasan was driven from his throne by his son.
