Eosterwine (Easterwine) was chosen by Biscop to assist him at St. Peter's in Wearmouth in 682. He lived from 650 to 686 and was the second abbot of the Wearmouth monastery. He died of the plague while Benedict was in Rome. Sigfrith was chosen by the monks as his replacement.
